The Garden Party Process

It starts with a raw, undyed garment. Cut & sewn domestically in New York City, using only certified organic, dead stock or made-to-order (limited run) fabrics. Minimal waste, quality over quantity. The process is labor intensive, with multiple steps and many hands involved in the production of each individual garment.

We utilize a range of techniques to develop each piece. Fabrics are washed, mordanted, and then carefully dyed through a series of steps that bring out their final character. Each stage is considered and intentional, allowing the material and color to develop individually. We focus on science-based methods and proven, lightfast dyes to achieve lasting, stunning results.

A finished garment, after final pressing. One of a kind, never to be duplicated. Botanical color depends on the time of year the colorants are harvested, the type of fabric, and the modifiers used. The process is slow and the result deeply personal. Each piece is labeled at the center back neck with a 14k gold-plated signet, stamped by hand. This philosophy is centered around a belief in the perfect beauty of nature and the joy found in personal expression.
